In light of the recent Women's March, MLAW proudly presents a screening of No Mas Bebes, a documentary detailing the landmark 1975 civil rights lawsuit Madrigal vs. Quilligan in which a group of Mexican immigrant women sued doctors, California State, and the U.S. government after being sterilized while giving birth in the late 1960s and early 1970s. This reproductive justice case is very much a significant historical event.
