Congratulations Maryland Mock Trial!

Multiple University of Maryland Mock Trial teams competed in the Market Street In Philadelphia. One team captained by Hershini Gopal, Irvin McCullough and Jennifer Hyman beat elite teams from the University of North Carolina and Johns Hopkins to going undefeated and win the Market Street In Philadelphia from October 16 to October 18.  A second team, captained by Lauren Gerber and Nikolay Michalowskij distinguished themselves by sweeping away powerful Rutgers A and B teams on their way to a sixth place tournament finish.  Five Maryland teams competed in various tournaments over the weekend, with numerous students winning individual honors:

• Lauren Gerber--All-tournament witness (perfect score)
• Sebin Lee--All tournament witness (first tournament)
• Hershini Gopal--All-tournament lawyer (perfect score in only second tournament as lawyer)
• Rahul Srinivas--All-tournament lawyer (perfect score)
• Jonah Panikar -All-tournament lawyer (first tournament--unheard of to win that award so early).

And a very special congratualtions to our very own Emani Walks on her award for all-tournament lawyer.
