FEC Commissioner Ellen Weintraub is a graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School. She has been a commissioner at the FEC since 2002 and was the chair for the third time in 2019. Prior to the FEC, Commissioner Weintraub was Of Counsel to the Political Law Group Perkins Coie LLP and Counsel to the House Ethics Committee
Congressman Sarbanes is the congressman for District 3 in the state of Maryland. He has been in Congress since 2007. Currently, Congressman Sarbanes serves on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, House Subcommittee on Environment and Climate Change, Vice Chair of the House Subcommittee on Health, House Oversight and Reform Committee, and Subcommittee on Government Operations. He is the chief sponsor of HR 1, the For the People Act, a major effort to reform election law in the United States.
