MLAW358C: The Supreme Court and the Constitution
- Focus on the role of the Supreme Court in interpreting and applying the Constitution. Students will explore various theories of constitutional interpretation by examining the opinions and judicial philosophies of current Supreme Court justices. The class will then apply those theoriesto a series of current constitutional debates.
MLAW358L: Law and Society Special Topics: Love and the Law
- Explore the interplay of emotions and law in agreements about parenthood through reproductive technologies, adoption, cohabilitation, and marriage. Students will apply law and sociology queries about law in books versus law in action in the context of who controls and benefits from contracts in families.
